She Didn’t Know It Yet, But She Had Found Her Calling

If you’ve ever felt what it’s like to witness someone return home to themselves, you might want to read this story. One of my graduates shared her experience on the path of becoming a yogi—and it’s a quiet, powerful reminder of how deeply this practice can transform us.

For the longest time, becoming a yoga teacher felt like a calling, but the timing never seemed quite right until I came across the Yogi Maha Method during a simple Google search.  Though I found many other yoga teacher training programs, something about Maha Bodhi's offering spoke to me deeply.  After a brief video chat with Maha, I instantly knew I was in good hands.

After my first class with Maha, I shed tears of joy, a moment of deep arrival.  I knew in my heart that I had made the right decision, and that the timing, though long-awaited, was just right.  The wait had been a part of the path, and it was all worth it.  I looked forward to each class with joy, and always left feeling inspired, motivated, deeply at peace, and genuinely looking forward to the next step on this path.  I felt like a child again, wide-eyed, curious, and endlessly eager to learn.  I was constantly diving deeper, wanting to know more.  The more I learned, the more I wanted to keep going and exploring.  It was never enough—in the best way.  This journey sparked a hunger in me, a joyful curiosity that reminded me of how expansive this path truly is.

The Yogi Maha Method has been a truly transformative experience.  It offered me powerful tools for self-discovery that extended far beyond the physical practice.  This journey unfolded with such ease and natural flow.  Maha has not only mastered and perfected the Yogi Maha Method, but she shares it with immense humility, kindness, and grace.  She is a true gift, always smiling, fully present, and endlessly supportive.  The space she created was one of safety, growth, and soulful connection.  Through her program, I also gained two amazing friends, such beautiful and supportive souls.

Under Maha’s guidance, I gained a deep understanding of yoga, from poses and anatomy to philosophy and spirituality, but more than that, I felt what it means to be aligned with your purpose.  This journey was not just educational, it was a profound awakening.  This program awakened something within me, and now I feel inspired to dive even deeper into my journey of discovery.  Through this journey, I discovered a beautiful gift within myself, one I now feel inspired and empowered to share with others.

What made it even more special was the sacred bond we formed as a community.  To make the journey even more special, we graduated on my birthday weekend, a moment of celebration, completion, and new beginnings all at once.  It felt like the universe had aligned everything perfectly.  I could not have asked for a more meaningful birthday gift.

When the training came to an end, none of us were ready to say goodbye.  We were in tears, grateful, transformed, and so moved by the experience.

I will forever be grateful to my amazing teacher, Maha Bodhi.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

With so much love and gratitude,

Emineh Issaian
