Podcast Interview - How Yoga Healed Me
I only recently began to open up about my brutal upbringing of being enslaved as a female in Yemen, forced into arranged marriage twice, surviving multiple death threatening situations, and two civil wars before arriving to the U.S., finding freedom and my true self through yoga.
The sole purpose of me sharing this story is to spark hope, even if it only inspires one person, to dare to dream of a better life for themselves. That if I can do it, so can someone else!
I consciously call it “this story” and not “my story” because it is only a story that happened in the past and it is not who I am.
Last year I sat down with Peter Jumrukovski for an interview on his podcast, I Love Success. As Peter and I share a common purpose, to help others and be of service, the conversation got deep and real!
A Book, Maybe?
There is so much more to this story that couldn't be covered in just one interview. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me after my inspirational public speaking events, that this needs to be a book, let's just say I would be living on my private island right now. So my ask of you is this, if you know of a publisher that would be interested in helping me make this into a book, I would appreciate an introduction.
